Francesco Serafin

Assistant Director, OMSLab

Dr. Francesco Serafin currently serves as the Assistant Director of the OMSLab and Colorado State University (CSU). He is an accomplished and forward-thinking environmental science engineer with extensive knowledge of fluid mechanics, water engineering principles, process-based modeling, machine learning, and software engineering.  Francesco has a proven track record of finishing complex projects under budget and ahead of schedule.  He has six years of experience leading the development of environmental models and applied sustainability research. Prior to completing his Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at CSU in 2022, Francesco served as graduate research assistant from 2017 – 2019.
