Surface Water
Surface water is a critical component of water resource management and takes many forms including overland flows, stream/river flows, city drainage, and agricultural irrigation. Surface water has the potential to carry large amounts of sediment and pollutants. It can also be implicated in flooding damages.
At OWSI we explore the different roles surface water plays in varying climate and land use change scenarios. Our team helps communities plan for a sustainable future in order to protect people, infrastructure, and the environment.
